Facebook Lives. You either absolutely love them, or just the thought fills you with dread!
I speak to so many fabulous women in business, and the main thing that I always hear is this - “I know that my business will benefit from doing Facebook Lives, but I’m just too nervous!”
I get it. It’s understandable. I was totally nervous too, to begin with! Like anything in life though, once you get into the swing of it, it will become second nature!
In this blog article, I’ve put together five key reasons why Facebook Lives can massively boost your business!
1. Your audience can really get to know you
One of the main benefits of doing Facebook Lives is that you can really connect with your audience on a deeper level, and they can get a glimpse of the real you. It’s so true that people buy from people who they like and trust, and showing up regularly in folks' newsfeeds is a fantastic way for them to get to know the face behind the brand, and for you to show off your sparkling personality!
2. It can lead to higher engagement
It’s no secret that your organic reach on Facebook can sometimes seem pretty dismal. With so many other businesses competing for space, it’s often difficult for your posts to be seen. The good news though, is that Facebook Lives experience three times the level of engagement than typical videos that are shared on social media. How amazing is that? In fact, for example, one week when I didn’t do Facebook Lives on my page compared to a week I did, the engagement increased by 942%.
3. It can lead to more clients
More engagement with your target audience will in turn lead to more sales! As people get to know you better, find out more about your business, and develop a relationship with you, they’re going to be much more likely to buy. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, people buy people!
4. You can repurpose your content
When you’ve gone live, that’s not the end of the story. Your Facebook Live can then be embedded into a post on your page, and it can also be repurposed for a wide range of uses, including in a blog, in an email newsletter, or on your YouTube channel. What’s more, going live can also present you with plenty more future content ideas, as you’re getting to know your audience better and finding out what they want to know about.
5. Facebook prioritises live video
When you go live, the chances are that anybody who is on Facebook at the time will see you at the very top of their newsfeed. Plus, people can also set up notifications to find out when you go live. And people who you’ve never even met and are not on of your page followers yet, can search and find your lives or they can even pop up in the watch tab. That’s pretty powerful stuff, right?
Don’t worry about being perfect!
Can I give you one main piece of advice when it comes to Facebook Lives?
Please, please don’t worry about being perfect! Nobody is, and we’re all human beings with our own unique personalities and imperfections. Don’t let what you think you look or sound like put you off. We’re all amazing in our own incomparable way, so don’t let anything or anybody hold you back!
